G. Chris Griffin

Lighting Designer-in-residence at Mills College

G. Chris Griffin is a seasoned professional in the field of production and lighting design, currently serving as the Director of Production at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts since February 2017, with previous roles as Senior Production Manager and Production Manager. Concurrently, G. Chris Griffin is the Lighting Designer-in-Residence at Mills College since February 2019. Experience includes serving as the Production/Lighting Director and Technical Director/Lighting Director at Alonzo King LINES Ballet from May 2008 to February 2017, and Technical Director positions at Diablo Ballet and California Theatre Center in 2007. Prior experience includes working as a Scene Technician at Cal Performances/UC Berkeley from 2005 to 2007. G. Chris Griffin holds a B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
