Ms. Renée Jadushlever is Vice President for Strategic Communications and Operations and has served Mills in a variety of leadership roles since 1991. In her current role, she supervises government relations, external relations, strategic partnerships, marketing, communications, and media relations, operations, facilities and construction/capital projects, housing and dining services, and auxiliaries.
Among her responsibilities, she identifies and evaluates opportunities to elevate Mills’ visibility in Oakland and Bay Area communities, growing the College’s presence in community, civic, and leadership groups, among neighborhoods, and elsewhere. She works on strategies relative to campus optimization and development and public private partnerships.
She has edited two scholarly journals, as Editor-in-Chief for Printing History, the journal of the American Printing History Association, and as the Managing Editor of Phaedrus: An International Journal of Children’s Literature Research. Additionally, she has curated numerous national and international exhibitions, including the Centennial Celebration Exhibition of the Grolier Club (NY).
Renee received her MLS in Library Science from Columbia University, with a concentration in Rare Books Administration.
In her spare time she enjoys participating in book clubs and attending San Francisco Giants games.
