Afshin Asli

Afshin Asli is Vice President of Engineering at mimik. He is a computer engineer who has been working in the computer industry since 1990.

In 2002, he was part of the leadership team appointed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, to start modernizing Insurance and Banking systems in Iran using SOA technology blueprint. Since then, his passion was focused on learning and experiencing methodologies and system design pattern using SOA. Today, Afshin continues this passion and diligently working with his team at mimik on microservice architecture and implementation.

Afshin graduated in 1990 from Shiraz University and after graduation, he worked at DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) and then IBM for more than 10 years. He was also working as an EA for financial enterprises for more than 12 years. Most parts of his professional life were dedicated to enterprise-scale system design and implementation, especially in banking and financial industry.
