Selim Cavanagh

Selim Cavanagh has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Selim is currently the Director of Insurance at Mind Foundry, a company focused on developing AI solutions for various sectors. Prior to this, Selim served as the Director, Insurance Markets EMEA at Clearspeed.

Selim also has previous experience as the Executive Strategy Advisor at Ageas UK and as the CEO of ingenie, a leading IoT platform in the insurance market. During their time at ingenie, they successfully built the SaaS platform and sold the business.

Before that, Selim held the position of Vice President, Insurance at LexisNexis Risk Solutions and served as the Commercial Director UK at Experian. Selim also worked at AXA UK in various roles, including Sales Director, Personal Lines Intermediary and Head of MGA Business, Personal and Commercial.

Selim's earlier career includes roles as the Business Development Manager at Sabio, where they sold Call Centre consulting and integration services, and at AMR Research and CCC Information Services, where they held positions as Business Development Manager.

Throughout their career, Selim Cavanagh has demonstrated expertise in business development, strategy, and leadership within the insurance and technology industries.

Selim Cavanagh pursued their education in a chronological manner, with various degrees and fields of study. In 1990, they enrolled at the University of Kent, where they completed a degree in Physics with Management Science, earning a BSc (Hons) in Physics and Management upon graduation in 1993. At the same institution, they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business from The Open University in 2009. Additionally, Cavanagh furthered their educational qualifications by pursuing an Associate Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) degree from the Chartered Insurance Institute from 1993 to 1999.
