Nitin Kulkarni

Embedded Linux Developer at MIND Music Labs

Nitin Kulkarni has been working in the software engineering field since 2012. In 2012, they worked as an intern at Sonus, where they automated test suites for the Elements management system and learned the software development life cycle. In 2013, they became a software engineer at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions. In 2017, they joined ELK as an embedded Linux developer, where they specialized in writing device drivers and building Embedded Linux distributions using the Yocto build system. Nitin was also responsible for the system software components including drivers and configurations. During this time, they also completed their master's thesis topic of "Real-time audio processing for embedded systems using a dual kernel (Xenomai) approach" at Mind Music labs. Nitin worked mainly on developing audio drivers for a dual kernel Linux OS and examining the performance of audio filters in terms of latency and throughput.

Nitin Kulkarni's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2009 to 2013, a Master's Degree in ICT Innovation - Embedded Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2017, and a Master's Degree in Embedded Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended SGC Pre-university College from 2007 to 2009 and N V Boys High School from 2004 to 2007.
