Head Of Advocacy

Ben Martin serves as the Head of Advocacy for the Communities Focus Area at the Minderoo Foundation since October 2022, having previously held the position of Communications Lead for the Impact Portfolio within the same organization. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Communications Manager at Walk Free, an international human rights group, and serving as Senior Media Adviser to the Australian Minister for Defence. Earlier in career, Ben Martin was Head of Digital Content and Chief of Staff at Seven West Media, where significant contributions were made to digital strategy and newsroom management. Additional experience includes roles at The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust as a Churchill Fellow, the Telegraph Media Group London coordinating foreign coverage, and various positions at The West Australian, focusing on political reporting and regional affairs. Ben Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, Journalism, and Public Relations from Curtin University, and another Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Linguistics, Philosophy, English, and Anthropology from The University of Western Australia.
