Matthew Baker

Matthew Baker's work experience includes a variety of roles and responsibilities in the field of software engineering. Matthew founded Inventory Bot in 2020 and served as the Founder. In 2022, they joined MindTrust as the VP of Delivery.

Prior to these positions, Matthew worked as a Freelance Software Engineer starting in 2014. Matthew worked with clients from various industries such as education, medical billing, real estate, insurance, advertising, big data science/analysis, and telemedicine. Matthew was responsible for building and maintaining platforms, creating initial products, and reviving old projects.

From 2018 to the present, Matthew worked for OdinAnswers as a Principal Software Engineer. Matthew developed a system that processed large text-based datasets to provide insights to analysts. Matthew utilized technologies such as Java, Go, Node, Open Integration Hub, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Manticore, Vue, Redis, RavenDB, Sentry, and AWS.

In 2015, Matthew joined Medcom Solutions as the Lead Software Engineer. Matthew managed a decade-old .NET WinForms application, implemented system improvements, and rebuilt the legacy system as a web application using Vue and C#.

Matthew served as the Lead Platform Engineer for SchoolSuite - Student Population & Emergency Management starting in 2017. Matthew worked on an education/student life platform that helped schools manage personnel and student accounting during emergencies.

Additionally, Matthew had experience as a Lead iOS Developer for various companies. Matthew worked on real estate workflow/compliance apps at Quigler, a telemedicine app at InsureScan, and an iOS application for a French client at an undisclosed company.

Throughout their career, Matthew has displayed expertise in various technologies and tools, including Swift, Objective-C, React, Express, and Photoshop.

Matthew Baker completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Penn State University. Matthew obtained this degree between the years 2004 and 2008. In addition to their degree, Matthew also holds certifications in Certified Tester Advanced Level, Test Analyst from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board and MCTS ASP.NET 3.5.
