Renee Tung, CPA

Renee Tung, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Renee is currently employed at MinervaAI as the Director of Finance and Operations, a position they started in April 2023. Prior to this, Renee worked at Commit as the Director of Finance and Operations from July 2021 to April 2023, and as the Finance & Operations Manager from October 2020 to June 2021.

Before joining Commit, Renee gained valuable experience at Imperial Oil. Renee served as an Earnings Analyst from January 2019 to September 2020, where they were responsible for compiling monthly OPEX and Volumes stewardship reporting packs. Renee also worked as an OPEX and Volumes Business Analyst from April 2017 to January 2019, where they created an integrated deliverables tool and communicated results to management. Additionally, they held the role of Reporting Unit & Treasury Analyst from August 2015 to April 2017.

Earlier in their career, Renee worked at Imperial Oil as an Accounting Analyst - Tax from May 2014 to December 2014. Renee also gained experience at Murphy Oil, where they served as a Finance Summer Student from May 2013 to August 2013, and as a Procurement Administrative Assistant from May 2012 to May 2013.

Renee Tung, CPA has a strong education background in accounting. Renee obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary, where they attended from 2010 to 2014. Following this, Renee pursued further education in Performance Management at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) until 2019. In March 2020, they obtained their certification as a Chartered Professional Accountant from CPA Canada.
