Pilar Mairal

Pilar Mairal currently serves as an advisor in the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence at the Ministerio de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital since March 2021. Additionally, Pilar has been a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and Administration at Universidad Complutense de Madrid since 2011 and has been an investigator and council member at the Instituto Complutense de Ciencia de la Administración (ICCA) since 2013. Pilar's previous roles include consultant in governance, public sector, strategy, and innovation at the Escuela de Organización Industrial, technical project manager for European projects at Exaltia, and consultant for European projects at Arjé Servicios Comunitarios. Pilar has also managed European projects at Empresa Municipal de Servicios de Arganda del Rey and worked as a consultant and researcher at Pascual Presa & Asociados and Arjé Servicios Comunitarios. Pilar holds a Doctorate in Political Science and Public Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where a thesis was honored with the INAP 2019 award, along with various advanced degrees in the field.
