Simon Cook

Simon Cook has extensive experience in human resources and operational management, currently serving as Principal Advisor to the Chief People Officer at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment since October 2016. Simon has held various key roles within MBIE, including Manager Compliance (acting), Operations Manager for the Reconnecting NZ Incident Management Team, Implementation Lead for collective bargaining agreements, and P&C Product Owner for various HR systems. Previous positions include Assistant Manager at Ombra Restaurant and Duty Manager at Leuven Belgium Beer Cafe, along with early career roles in customer service and sales. Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Tourism from the University of Otago.
