Director Of The Investments, Innovations And IP Department at Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine

Vyacheslav Ovechkin has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Vyacheslav started their career as a Lawyer at Chadbourne & Parke LLP in 2006 and later moved to CMS Cameron McKenna, where they worked as a Lawyer and eventually became a Senior Associate. In 2011, they transitioned to a role as an Advisor to the CFO for investment projects at PJSC "CONCERN AVEC AND CO". Vyacheslav then became the Director at Sonora in 2013 before moving back to CMS Cameron McKenna. In 2019, they joined the Odesa Region State Administration as an Advisor before becoming the 1st Deputy Governor. Vyacheslav later worked at Risoil as the Head of Business Development. More recently, they have held positions as an Advisor to the Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa Region and as the Director of the Investments, Innovations and IP Department at the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

Vyacheslav Ovechkin completed their undergraduate education, specializing in Law, at the National 'Jaroslav the Wise' Law Academy of Ukraine, Kharkiv, from 2000 to 2005. Vyacheslav then pursued a Master's degree in International Economic Relations at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, graduating in 2006. During the same year, they also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in International commercial law from Central European University. Additionally, they studied EU Law, WTO Law, Arbitration, and Contracts at T.M.C. Asser Instituut in The Hague from 2005 to 2006.
