Amir Hamzah Azizan

Amir Hamzah Azizan currently serves as Minister of Finance II at the Ministry of Finance Malaysia since December 2023. Previously, Amir held the position of Chief Executive Officer at EPF Malaysia from March 2021 to December 2023 and was President and CEO at Tenaga Nasional Berhad from April 2019 to March 2021. Prior roles include Group Chief Executive Officer at Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd, MD/CEO of Icon Offshore Berhad, and various leadership positions at PETRONAS, including VP of Lubricants Business and VP of Downstream Marketing. Amir started the career as President & CEO of MISC Berhad and AET Tankers Inc. With a solid educational background including a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Syracuse University and a Business Administration SEP from Stanford University, Amir has consistently demonstrated expertise in leadership, business turnaround, and strategic marketing across the oil, gas, and financial sectors.
