Hani Jokhdar currently serves as the Deputy Minister for Public Health at the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia, leading the public health initiatives in the Kingdom. Previously, Hani held the position of Assistant Deputy Minister for Hospital Affairs, overseeing hospitals and various healthcare facilities. An academic career includes roles as an Assistant Professor of Public Health and Infectious Disease Control at Umm Al-Qura University. Hani has also contributed to Bupa Arabia as Medical Director and served as an Infection Control Surveyor & Consultant for the Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions. Notably, during the MERS-CoV outbreak, Hani was appointed as the Chief Medical Officer/CEO of King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MSc from The University of Manchester and an MBChB from Jamiat Al-Malik Abdulaziz.
