Shreyas Gune

Shreyas Gune is an experienced water resources professional currently serving as Deputy Commissioner at the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Government of India, since June 2022. In this role, Shreyas evaluates central assistance and state share loan proposals, prepares government budgets, and monitors project execution. Previously, Shreyas held the position of Executive Engineer at the Central Water Commission from April 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included managing a team of over 100 staff, leading flood forecasting initiatives, and overseeing procurement processes. Shreyas also served as Deputy Director and Assistant Director at Namami Gange, focusing on water quality monitoring and project management. Shreyas holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Delhi Technological University and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
