Sona Mehring

Sona Mehring is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and non-profit sector engagement. Currently serving as a Fund Advisor at Great North Labs since January 2018, Mehring also held multiple roles, including Commodore and President, at the Minneapolis Rowing Club from January 2017 to January 2024. Previously, Mehring contributed as a Board Member at Minnestar from August 2012 to January 2021, focusing on strengthening Minnesota’s technology community, and as Board Chair for the National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation from January 2014 to January 2020, supporting national park projects. As the Founder and CEO of CaringBridge from 1997 to 2017, Mehring promoted community healing worldwide. Additional roles included EOS Implementer at 10 For Focus and Board Member at MRA - The Management Association. Educational achievements include a BS in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, along with leadership development programs.
