Craig Gustafson

Craig Gustafson serves as the Chief Counsel for the Minnesota Department of Transportation since November 2017, following a role as General Counsel for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development from November 2014 to October 2017. With extensive experience in legal affairs, Craig has held positions including Appeals Operations and Legal Affairs Director and Chief Unemployment Law Judge for the State of Minnesota from August 2007 to October 2017, and Attorney/Senior Assistant Revisor of Statutes for the Minnesota Legislature from November 1995 to August 2007. Craig began the legal career as a Law Clerk at the Ramsey County Public Defender's Office in 1993. Craig earned a Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Gustavus Adolphus College.
