Joseph Podolsky

Joseph Podolsky, PhD, PE, serves as a Research Implementation Engineer at the Minnesota Department of Transportation since August 2021. Prior to this role, Joseph held various positions at Iowa State University from May 2011 to August 2021, including Associate Scientist/Bituminous Materials Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Associate, focusing on the evaluation of bio-based additives and polymers for warm and hot mix asphalt, as well as the development of pavement design programs. Joseph's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Materials from Iowa State University, a Master’s in Civil Engineering with a focus on Pavement from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with concentrations in Pavement and Geotechnical Engineering from Michigan State University. Additionally, Joseph has extensive teaching experience and has contributed to numerous research projects and educational initiatives throughout a progressive academic career.
