Brian Swanson

Brian Swanson currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, overseeing facilities management, capital budgeting, planning, design and construction, real estate, public safety, health and safety, and risk management for the largest state college and university system in Minnesota. Prior to this role, Brian Swanson held several key positions at the University of Minnesota, including Assistant Vice President of Finance and Systems, where responsibilities included managing operations and finances with an approximate budget of $15 million and supervising 110 non-student employees. Additional roles at the University included Budget Officer, Capital Budget Coordinator, and Program Manager for significant projects, such as TCF Bank Stadium. Brian Swanson's educational background includes a Master of Urban Planning and Public Policy, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, and a Master of Arts in Geography, all obtained from the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Duluth.
