Michael Berndt

Michael Berndt is the current President of Dakota County Technical College & Inver Hills Community College at Minnesota State Colleges & Universities. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Century College from July 2014 to July 2018. From January 2006 to July 2014, they were the Vice President at Normandale Community College, where they oversaw college-level planning, institutional effectiveness, program review, online learning, and institutionally sponsored faculty development.

Berndt received a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of Minnesota-Morris.

Michael Berndt reports to Devinder Malhotra, Chancellor. They are on a team with Kumara Jayasuriya - President, Southwest Minnesota State University, Gary Cunningham - General Counsel, and Noelle Hawton - Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
