Software Architect (VR/AR) at Minsar Studio

Jonathan Thorpe has a wealth of experience in the field of virtual and augmented reality. From 2017 to present, they have worked as a Software Architect (VR/AR) at Wanderland, where they worked on Minsar and Wanderland, two immersive content creation tools. Jonathan has also worked as a Developer (VR/AR) at Emmissive since 2017, working on projects for big clients. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Research Engineer (VR, data visualisation, interaction) at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, working on interactive, collaborative applications for virtual reality CAVEs and high definition visualisation walls. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Software Engineer at NXP Software, working on the CinexPlayer iOS Application and the underlying QuickPlayer cross-platform video/audio SDK. In 2011, they worked as a Contractor at Avisto. From 2009 to 2011, they were an iOS Developer at Immanens, working on multiple media related networked applications. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Short Term Scientific Mission at IRCAM. From 2001 to 2009, they were an MEng/PhD Student at the University of York, specializing in music, DSP, programming, acoustics and graphics, and obtaining a PhD in Human sound localisation cues and their relation to morphology.

Jonathan Thorpe attended Lycée Vincent Auriol, Revel 31250 from 1994 to 2001.
