Roman focuses on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions as well as corporate governance issues. His clients include financial institutions and companies of all sizes, from large corporations to start-ups.
Prior to joining Mintz, Roman was as associate in the M&A practice of an international law firm in Atlanta, where he represented clients in corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance. In his time at the firm, Roman drafted and reviewed a wide range of transactional documents, performed due diligence, and analyzed federal and state filings.
After earning his undergraduate degree in Management Finance, Roman joined JP Morgan Investment Bank, working in its London and Moscow offices as an analyst and later as vice president of equity research. Concurrently, he founded and served as CEO of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, One Village at a Time, which delivered 4,000 kg of clothing and winter supplies to impoverished rural communities in Romania under Roman’s leadership.
In addition, Roman was a managing associate with the venture capital team at SeedInvest, an equity crowdfunding platform, where he evaluated hundreds of early-stage companies.
He holds CFA Level 1 certification, is a CFA Level 2 candidate, and has participated in ironman competitions and marathons throughout the United Sates.
