Jim Misasi

Jim Misasi has an extensive work experience spanning several companies. Jim currently holds the position of VP of Engineering at Miovision since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BlackBerry for a significant period of time. At BlackBerry, they served as the Vice President of Engineering from March 2021 to June 2022, overseeing the company's engineering operations. Before that, they held the role of Senior Director - Enterprise Software Development from May 2017 to March 2021, where they were responsible for leading the development of enterprise software. Jim also worked as the Director - BES Management from April 2004 to March 2017.

Prior to their tenure at BlackBerry, Jim worked at Sun Life Financial, where they had multiple roles. Jim worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst from July 1991 to December 1998. Later, they founded Misasi Consulting Inc and worked as a consultant from January 1999 to March 2004.

Jim Misasi earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University between the years 1987 and 1991. Their field of study included Business/Commerce and Computer Science. Additionally, Jim has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Learning Threat Modeling for Security Professionals" and "Learning the OWASP Top 10" in October 2022, as well as "Fair and Effective Interviewing for Diversity and Inclusion" in July 2022.
