Simon Miller

Simon Miller has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Simon recently joined Miovision as a Desktop Support Specialist in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Teledyne FLIR as the East Canada IT Operations Lead from January 2019 to December 2021. Before that, Simon was an IT Support Specialist at Aeryon Labs Inc from January 2018 to January 2019. Simon also gained experience as a Jr. Project Technician/Network Administrator at HLB System Solutions from July 2017 to January 2018 and as a Network Administrator at CopperTree Solutions Inc from April 2016 to June 2017. Simon has also worked as an Economic Analyst at the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association from October 2012 to August 2014. Furthermore, Simon had experience as a student at the University of Waterloo from August 2007 to December 2012. Simon also had two previous roles at Microsoft, first as a Data Lead/Data Strategy - Trainee from May 2011 to September 2011, and second as a Data Analytics intern from June 2010 to July 2010.

Simon Miller obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo, which they completed between 2007 and 2011. In 2014, they enrolled at triOS College Business Technology Healthcare and pursued the IT Professional Program, specializing in Information Technology. This program lasted from 2014 to 2016. Later, between 2021 and 2023, Simon attended the University of Essex Online, where they pursued a Master of Cybersecurity (MSc) degree with a focus on Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Simon also earned several certifications. In November 2015, they obtained the CompTIA Linux (Powered by LPI) certification from CompTIA. In the same month, they also achieved the LPIC1 certification from the Linux Professional Institute. Simon obtained the CompTIA Project certification in July 2015 and the CompTIA Network ce certification in May 2015. Simon also holds the SUSE Certified Linux Administrator certification, although the month and year of its acquisition are not specified.
