Dermot mc Ateer

Dermot McAteer is a skilled data scientist with extensive experience in privacy and compliance analytics. Currently serving as Principal Data Scientist and Head of Emerging Privacy at Privacy Hub by Datavant since May 2020, Dermot has progressed through various roles in the organization, contributing to advancements in data privacy solutions. Prior to this, Dermot earned a PhD in Mathematical/Theoretical Physics from Heriot-Watt University and held positions including Compliance Analyst at FundApps, where responsibilities included regulatory monitoring, and Commodities Analyst at BNP Paribas, managing critical pricing information. Earlier experience includes a Technical Consultant role at HP Autonomy, focusing on technology configuration and scripting. Dermot holds an M.A.St in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics from The University of Edinburgh.
