Emily Payne

Emily Payne is a skilled Data Scientist and Privacy Expert currently leading the Data Analytics pod at Privacy Hub by Datavant since August 2022. Previously, Emily contributed as a Summer Research Student at The University of Edinburgh under the Carneigie Vacation Scholarship, focusing on a project in the Metal Recovery Group. Prior experience also includes a role as a Retail Assistant at The Royal Yacht Britannia. Emily holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Chemistry from The University of Edinburgh, completed in 2023, and earned a Master of Chemistry with Honours in Chemistry and Materials Chemistry from the same institution in 2019. Additionally, a research project in Photochemistry was pursued at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2017 to 2018.
