Claire Whitworth

Claire Whitworth has a wealth of experience in scientific research and teaching. Claire began their career as an MSci student at Newcastle University in 2010. From 2012-2016, they worked as a PhD student, Senior Drug Discovery Scientist, Cell Biology, Project Lead Scientist, and Research Scientist at the University of Dundee. Claire achieved several accolades during their time there, such as Travel Grants totalling £3,285, 100% application success, and multiple international and national oral and poster presentations. Additionally, they served as a Laboratory Demonstrator and Student Tutor and Mentor at Newcastle University. Most recently, Claire has been a Senior Scientist at Mironid® Limited since 2022.

Claire Whitworth attended Newcastle University from 2007 to 2016. Claire completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Sciences, achieving First Class with Honours in 2011. Claire then completed a Master of Research in Medical and Molecular Biosciences, achieving Distinction in 2012. Claire completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell Signalling in 2016.
