Joni Abel

Joni Abel has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Currently, they hold the role of Co-Head of ESG at Mischler Financial Group, where they are responsible for driving the company's environmental, social, and governance initiatives. Additionally, they work as a Project Manager, supporting various company initiatives and focusing on growth potential and efficiency.

Prior to their current role, Joni served as the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Mischler Financial Group. Joni also worked as an Independent Consultant and Project Manager in the fields of Marketing and Competitive Strategy, Human Resources, and Communications.

Before that, Joni held key positions in major financial institutions such as Citi and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Their responsibilities included leading marketing strategy projects, investment research, and product development. Joni was also recognized for their contributions in client service, marketing strategies, and recruiting.

Earlier in their career, Joni worked as a Corporate Researcher at WestLB, where they collaborated with senior executives to conduct legal and financial research. Joni also gained extensive experience in sales and management as the International Services Department Manager at the Civil Litigation Group.

Throughout their career, Joni has consistently demonstrated expertise in project management, strategic planning, and fostering diversity and inclusion within organizations.

Joni Abel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 from Wartburg College, majoring in Math with minors in German and Education. In 1988, they obtained a University Level German Language Certificate from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they took classes in German Language and Business Law. In 1998, Joni Abel completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Chicago, focusing on classes in Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources, and Investments within the field of Business.
