Tom van Gelder has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Tom currently holds the position of Managing Director at Missing Piece B.V. since August 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at Avantage - makes IT simple, where they held various positions including Ricoh Channel Development Manager, Sales Manager Small Business, General Manager Business Solutions, and Head of Business Development & Innovation. Before that, they worked at Gartner as a Senior Account Executive Supply Chain. In addition, they have worked at Microsoft in roles such as Trust & Security Champ, Partner Sales Executive Cloud, Partner Sales Executive, Partner Account Manager, Licensing Marketing Manager, and Partner Development Manager Licensing. Tom also has experience working at Lenovo as a TCO Consultant, IBM as a Brand Manager, and Ingram Micro as an Account Manager.

Tom van Gelder attended Northwood University from 1995 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business and Marketing Management. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1995, they studied Business Management at IVA Driebergen. In 2015, they obtained a certification in Microsoft-INSEAD Online Business Strategy and Financial Acumen from INSEAD Executive Education.
