Field Application Scientist at Mission Bio

Rachel Agoglia has a diverse work experience. Rachel began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Berkeley, where they studied evolved tooth gain in freshwater sticklebacks. Their research involved the use of forward and reverse genetics approaches, resulting in the contribution to three manuscripts.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Rachel joined Stanford University as a Graduate Student Researcher. Their focus was on investigating cis-regulatory contributions to the evolution of the human cortex using three-dimensional stem cell models of primate brain development. Their groundbreaking work was published in prestigious scientific journals, including Nature and Nature Genetics. Additionally, they contributed to a study published in Molecular Biology and Evolution, in which they developed a strategy for determining the relative contributions of coding enhancer elements in shaping selection.

Following their time at Stanford, Rachel joined Namocell as an Application Scientist. Rachel initially held the position of an Application Scientist, during which they utilized their expertise in the field. Rachel later advanced to the role of a Senior Application Scientist, further demonstrating their capabilities in the scientific field.

Rachel's most recent position is with Mission Bio, where they serve as a Field Application Scientist. This role showcases their ability to apply their scientific knowledge and expertise in a customer-oriented role.

Throughout their career, Rachel Agoglia has consistently contributed to scientific research and published in renowned scientific journals, demonstrating their commitment to advancing knowledge in their field.

Rachel Agoglia attended Stanford University from 2014 to 2020, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genetics. Prior to that, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2010 to 2014 and obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Molecular and Cell Biology.
