Cynthia Zamora

Program Director For Horizon Apprenticeship; Program Manager For First Call And Candidacy at Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Cynthia Zamora has extensive work experience in various roles with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Cynthia recently joined the organization in 2022 as the Program Director for Horizon Apprenticeship and Program Manager for First Call and Candidacy. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2020, Cynthia held multiple positions including Manager for Relationships in Asia and the Pacific, Madagascar, Rwanda, West and Central Africa, Coordinator for Madagascar, West and Central Africa, Coordinator for International Leaders Program, Assistant to the Director for Candidacy, and Resources Information Specialist.

Cynthia Zamora pursued their education at various institutions. Cynthia completed their Master of Science in Management at the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in Latina/o Studies and Communications from the same university from 1998 to 2002. Cynthia also holds a High School Diploma from Steinmetz College Preparatory High School, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including courses on managing the organization, designing the organization, business strategy, corporate strategy, developing a marketing mix for growth, developing a winning marketing strategy, and managerial accounting, among others.
