Currently, we're on the lookout for a seasoned leader to spearhead our digital marketing and content team. You'll be at the helm of a diverse group of over 20 digital strategists, social media enthusiasts, creative aficionados, and seasoned journalists. In this role, you'll play a dynamic role in spearheading our integrated communications strategy across new and existing work, driving growth for the business, and building and leading a team of passionate professionals. Your responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of content strategy and how it comes to life across channels while driving its ongoing evolution. 

You will build and manage a high-performing team of digital and content strategists and deliver results-driven initiatives that elevate our client’s and brand’s visibility and impact in the industry. You will be responsible for cultivating new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts for growth, fostering innovation in product development, and providing oversight to our talented Integrated Studio team. You are an exceptional strategist in B2B full-funnel marketing needs. You can use insights and research to inform strategic storytelling, audience-specific messaging, and strategically sound content distribution (paid and organic). You will be responsible for developing and implementing an award-winning digital strategy, overseeing our entire digital, content, and creative teams.

This role demands an entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinker who can ignite our collective passion for creative content strategy, activate against the brand funnel with innovative paid, owned, and organic digital strategy, and dedication to driving impactful results and value for our B2B clients

 

Who you are:

In this role, you have a strong POV on the future of content marketing and digital storytelling. In your former roles, you’ve built a digital marketing and content portfolio of high-growth businesses and have experience with established tech and life sciences brands. You understand how to use AI and envision how to differentiate content offerings in an AI-populated landscape. 

Team Leadership:

  • Set, plan, and activate the team against revenue goals, agency marketing, lead generation, and business development.
  • You have a passion for talent development and mentoring and leading teams with fluctuating budget ranges. 
  • Serve as a steward of Mission North’s values and operating principles. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of communicators and marketers. 
  • Serve as an internal agency leader and advocate, collaborating with executives and colleagues across the organization to ensure the digital content and creative needs are met to ensure our success as a top-tier digital agency
  • Identify and leverage emerging technologies (AI) to enhance our internal processes and deliverables for our clients that optimize our teams and results.

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities, and expand the client portfolio by attracting and nurturing leads throughout your network. 
  • Proactively drive new business efforts with minimal oversight. This includes driving pitch teams from start to finish during the pitch process. 
  • Generate new revenue with existing clients. You have a keen eye for timing strategic recommendations that align the scope of work to meet client needs.

Digital & Content Strategy Leadership: 

  • Ensure that our digital campaigns captivate audiences and push the boundaries of innovation through exceptional creativity. 
  • Drive the development of a modern digital marketing function that utilizes new platforms, technologies, and platforms to create digital communities and customer journeys that engage audiences in new and innovative ways.
  • You will develop and market innovative content offerings that drive impact for our clients and organic growth for our portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to our clients, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service that exceeds expectations. Lead the team to develop tailored solutions that drive business growth and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Lead the strategy of creating compelling content showcasing our clients' expertise, thought leadership, and innovation in the B2B tech and science domains. Develop creative, strategic content marketing initiatives that drive engagement with target audiences.
  • Counsel B2B clients on and lead branded campaigns that serve as lead-generation efforts through digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media advertising, and content strategies across formats and channels. 
  • Harness the power of data analytics and marketing automation tools to track performance metrics, analyze customer behavior, and optimize marketing strategies for maximum impact and ROI.

Requirements: 

  • REQUIRED: Minimum of 15 years of building and managing digital marketing and content services for agencies 
  • Ability to develop strong, tailored content strategy that aligns with business objectives. 
  • Proven ability to tap into a strong network of potential customers, partners, and talent to support the growth of our digital, content, and creative services. 
  • Strong new business development skills with a proven track record of closing and retaining new clients.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities and commit to ongoing learning and personal growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with high visibility and accountability across the agency.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of leading and mentoring teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach, able to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience architecting integrated communications strategies through milestone moments (e.g. launching from stealth, creating a new category, managing a crisis, IPO).
  • Strong writing and compelling communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience. 

Mission North cares about you and your overall well-being, and that’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package, for full-time employees, that includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan including an employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, paid time off, paid parental leave, and several paid holidays, among others.

Pay Range:  Expected Salary range depending on experience: $245,000-$300,000, not including year end profit sharing bonus.
