Sarah Almond

Sarah Almond has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Sarah is currently working at Mission Therapeutics as the VP of Pharmacology since October 2022. Before that, they held the position of Head of In Vivo Pharmacology from January 2022 to October 2022, and also from September 2020 to February 2022.

Prior to joining Mission Therapeutics, Sarah worked at Charles River Laboratories as an Associate Director of Biology from August 2019 to September 2020, and as a Group Leader from June 2018 to September 2020.

Sarah also has experience at Mundipharma Research Limited, where they served as a Senior Pharmacology Manager from December 2017 to May 2018, and as a Non-Clinical Drug Safety Manager from January 2017 to December 2017.

Earlier in their career, Sarah worked at Takeda Cambridge as a Principal Scientist from August 2008 to November 2016, at AstraZeneca as a Senior Scientist from 2006 to 2008, at Merck Sharp Dohme as a Research Scientist from January 2003 to January 2006, and at GE Healthcare as a Research Scientist from 1996 to 2003.

Sarah Almond attended Kendrick Girls School from 1986 to 1993. After completing their secondary education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Cell Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Leicester from 1993 to 1996. Later, they enrolled at the University of Hertfordshire and completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmacology and Toxicology from 1999 to 2001.
