Meena Pannirselvam

Meena Pannirselvam (she/ they/ அவள்) serves as the Coordinator for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion. She coordinates, plans, and implements diversity and inclusion initiatives at the professional staff and faculty levels in the university, including programming, training, and outreach.

In addition to her role, they are passionate about improving international students’ college experience where they continue to dismantle barriers, challenge laws and policies, engage in community building/ continue to build support for the student group. She has presented around the international experience and holistic advocacy for international students in national conferences and co-authored a chapter titled Reflecting, refiguring, and reconceptualizing as international students and researchers, and contributed to the book, Principal’s Hot Seat: Observing Real-World Dilemmas.

Meena from Malaysia is a recent master’s graduate in Higher Education with a focus on Student Affairs and earned her Bachelor of Science in 2019 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
