Rooban Venkatesh K G Thirumalai

Rooban Venkatesh K G Thirumalai has extensive experience in research and teaching within the field of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University since 2006. Currently serving as an Assistant Research Professor, Rooban manages research instrumentation infrastructure and supports interdisciplinary material characterization and microscopy research. Previous roles include Research Engineer III, where Rooban chaired the Materials Working Group, and Research Associate III, providing technical support and instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, Rooban has been involved in various research projects, including the development of SiC nanowires and semi-insulating substrates, and has contributed to curriculum development through supervision of labs and projects. Rooban holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree from Mississippi State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Anna University Chennai.
