Kara Cox

Kara Cox is an experienced communications and events professional with a strong background in academia and event coordination. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Missouri Baptist University since August 2021, Kara teaches courses in journalism and English composition. Simultaneously, Kara works as the Senior Communications & Outreach Coordinator at the University of Kansas Transportation Center, overseeing public communications and producing a variety of printed and digital materials, while also coordinating training workshops and engineering conferences. Previous roles include Event Coordinator at T-Mobile Center and Event Supervisor at Show Me Center, where responsibilities involved managing diverse events to ensure their success. Kara's earlier experience includes social media management and customer service in the insurance sector, along with management at Subway. Kara holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Southeast Missouri State University.
