Tammy Buscemi's work experience includes positions in various companies and industries. Tammy started their career as an HR Assistant at Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club in the mid-1990s. From there, they worked as a Human Resources Manager at Fugro Pelagos and later became a self-employed HR Consultant, providing services to biotech, software, advertising, and promotional products companies.
In 2004, Tammy joined CovX as the Associate Director of Human Resources, where they established the HR Department and oversaw employee relations, recruitment, culture, leadership, and compensation and benefits. Tammy then worked as a Senior HR Generalist/Consultant at Cobham, focusing on employee relations and recruitment for a global RF products manufacturer.
Tammy's next role was at Metabasis Therapeutics, where they served as a Senior Manager of Human Resources. In this position, they were responsible for strategic and operational HR initiatives, including performance management, recruiting, HRIS, statistical analysis, and compensation and benefits. Tammy also led various projects, such as developing an onboarding program, redesigning the performance management system, and evaluating employee survey results.
At TB Consulting, Tammy worked as a Human Resources Consultant, specializing in biotech and pharmaceutical clients. Tammy'sresponsibilities included evaluating current processes, implementing best practices, and handling daily operations. Tammy also led the selection and implementation of an integrated HRIS/Payroll system.
After TB Consulting, Tammy joined AnaptysBio as the Director of Human Resources. In this role, they were responsible for HR initiatives and played a key role in the company's growth and development.
In 2017, Tammy joined Greenwich Biosciences as the Human Resources Director, overseeing HR operations for the company. Tammy'srole included employee relations, recruitment, and other HR functions.
Most recently, Tammy worked at Mitek Systems as the Senior Director of Global People Operations, where they oversaw the company's people operations on a global scale.
Throughout their career, Tammy has demonstrated expertise in HR management, including employee relations, recruitment, culture, leadership, compensation and benefits, and HRIS implementation. Tammy has led various strategic initiatives and projects, contributing to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.
Tammy Buscemi has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UC Irvine and an MS in Human Resources Management from Chapman University.
