Kavinda Akmeemana

Kavinda Akmeemana, PMP has a diverse work experience in project management. Kavinda has served as the Head of Compliance and General Manager at Mitra Innovation since 2017. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at the same company from 2017 to 2019. Before joining Mitra Innovation, Kavinda worked as a Project Officer at HSBC from 2010 to 2014. Kavinda also has experience with Dialog Axiata PLC, where they served as a Programme Manager for IT & Charging systems from 2007 to 2009 and as a Project Manager for IT from 2007 to 2007. In this role, they focused on LAN/WAN and infrastructure expansion, software development, and solutions implementation.

Kavinda Akmeemana, PMP has a diverse education history with a focus on project management and IT. In 2007, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in the USA. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in IT at Keele University from 2004 to 2006. Kavinda also holds various qualifications from the British Computer Society in IT, including an MBCS, a Professional Graduate Diploma, and a Professional Diploma, all completed in 2002. In 1996, they earned the International Diploma in Computer Studies from NCC - UK and a Diploma in Computer Studies from the University of Cambridge / Informatics in Singapore. Their education journey began at Nalanda College, where they attended from 1985 to 1995.
