Devesh Jha

Devesh Jha is a Senior Principal Research Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, where the focus encompasses artificial intelligence for robot learning, addressing challenging robotic manipulation problems through machine learning and reinforcement learning techniques. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University and a Research Intern at MERL, concentrating on motion planning for urban autonomous driving. Devesh Jha holds a PhD in Robotics and Machine Learning, as well as Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering, all from Penn State University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University.
