Joshua Rapp is a Research Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories since June 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, where Joshua developed image reconstruction methods utilizing deep learning and light transport modeling and mentored graduate students. Joshua's doctoral research was conducted at Draper, focusing on single-photon lidar, and included consultation on lidar equipment for industry projects. Joshua's academic foundation includes roles as a Doctoral Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Boston University, where contributions encompassed algorithm development for lidar and teaching probability theory. Joshua also gained experience at Tufts University in music production and engineering, alongside undergraduate research in bioelectrical communication. Joshua holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
