Edward Jonasson

Edward Jonasson is the current Chief Financial Officer at MJardin Group. Prior to this, they served as Vice President Finance at The Stars Group from December 2017 to August 2019. Edward has also served as Chief Financial Officer at Intertainment Media Inc, AtlantiCann Medical, Inc., Xagenic Inc., and Norwall Group Inc. In addition, they were the Director and Audit Committee Chair at Norwall Group Inc. and Principal at CFO Advisory Services. Most recently, they were the VP, Corporate Controller at Open Text Corporation from April 2005 to March 2010 where they oversaw a global finance team of 115 staff through 6 direct reports. Edward was also responsible for the design and implementation of accounting policies and procedures; financial accounting and reporting systems; and consolidation and reporting of financial information to the audit committee for a Company with 80+ legal entities operating in 25 countries. During their time at Open Text Corporation, they oversaw the finance back office intregration of 3 significant acquisitions and led the centralization of accounts payable, payroll and controllership functions from 3 international locations to a newly created Global Shared Service Center.

Edwards Jonasson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois and California. Edward has an MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and a BA from Western University.
