Wisch has led Major League Baseball’s Legal Department since July 2019, overseeing all of MLB’s attorneys throughout the organization, including those who support MLB’s business groups and the league office. Wisch is the first female General Counsel in the Office of the Commissioner’s history. She joined MLB in 2004 and served as Senior Vice President & General Counsel of MLB Advanced Media, the digital arm of MLB, before her promotion to General Counsel of the Commissioner’s Office. Throughout her tenure with MLB, she has served as a key legal advisor to each of Central Baseball’s primary business lines, as well as each of the MLB Clubs, and has acted as corporate secretary or in a similar capacity for various boards of directors and ownership committees of MLB and its affiliated entities. Immediately prior to joining MLB, Wisch was an associate with the law firm of Vinson and Elkins. Wisch earned her B.S. from Cornell University and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
