Miguel Alvarado

Miguel Alvarado is an experienced technology leader with a robust background in engineering and machine learning. Currently serving as Director of Engineering for ML and GenAI Enablement at Etsy since May 2019, Miguel has developed a solid career path including roles as Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager at the same company. Miguel is also a local organizer for the MLOps Community in Mexico, fostering a growing network of over 200 professionals in the field. Previously, Miguel worked at AKQA, contributing to pivotal projects for Nike, and held key positions at Secondcap Limited, Environmental Business Products Ltd, and multiple other organizations, showcasing expertise in software architecture, development, and project management. Miguel holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nebrija and completed a Big Data and Social Analytics Certificate at MIT.
