Jim Birney

Jim Birney is a seasoned operations manager with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as Sr Manager of Operations at MMS since January 2016, Jim previously held the position of Director of Clinical Site Development at Asterand Bioscience, where responsibilities included managing clinical donor networks for NCI's Cancer Genome Atlas Program. With a strong foundation in client relations cultivated during a lengthy tenure at Kelly Services as Global Client Relationship Manager, Jim demonstrated expertise in delivering innovative workforce solutions while overseeing substantial revenue streams. Early career experience includes roles in sales and inventory control at The Upjohn Company and Federal-Mogul, as well as teaching junior high science and math. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Michigan State University.
