Abd Ghafur Ahmad

Abd Ghafur Ahmad is currently serving as the Group Chief Compliance Officer at MNRB Group since October 2025. Previously, Abd Ghafur held the position of Chief Risk Officer at FWD Insurance from February 2022 to October 2025, and before that was the Head of Risk & Compliance at Labuan Reinsurance (L) Ltd from August 2021 to February 2022. Abd Ghafur's experience also includes being the Head of Risk Management at MCIS Insurance Berhad from October 2013 to August 2021, the Head of Risk, Compliance & Shariah at Hong Leong MSIG Takaful from June 2012 to September 2013, and the Senior Manager of Risk Management at GREAT EASTERN between May 2008 and May 2012. Abd Ghafur earned a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Monash University, where studies were completed between 1994 and 1997.
