Axel Niklasson

Axel Niklasson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software development field. Axel'smost recent role is as an Engineering Manager at mobile.dev, starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Frontend Lead at the same company from February 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining mobile.dev, Axel worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Ookla from September 2021 to January 2022. Prior to that, they spent a significant amount of time at Uber, where they held the position of Software Engineer II from March 2021 to September 2021 and Software Engineer from November 2019 to March 2021. During their time at Uber, Axel led and shipped multiple projects, including a revamped on-demand cashout experience for earners on the Uber platform.

Axel's work experience also includes a role as Co-founder & Consultant at Inneva, a consultancy firm they co-founded in March 2018. In this role, they solved problems for clients using various software development techniques, with a focus on graphics for broadcasting.

Additionally, Axel gained experience at Uber as a Software Engineer Intern in Aarhus, Denmark, where they worked on researching and implementing a solution for controlled backfilling in production clusters from September 2018 to December 2018. Axel also worked as a Summer Intern at Netlight, a full-stack developer at Nouw Media, and as a Consultant at XLENT, primarily working with WordPress and front-end development.

Axel started their career as a self-employed consultant at AxnIT Konsult, where they focused on web development, app development, and system development. Axel also worked as a Software Developer at Arccore AB, where they designed and implemented an API for customer and license management and developed an Eclipse Plugin.

Throughout their career, Axel has gained experience in a wide range of technologies, including React, JavaScript, Greensock, WebGL, WordPress, HTML/CSS, Docker, Node.js, Angular, Vagrant, and AWS.

Axel Niklasson completed their education with a degree in Software Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology. Axel attended the university from 2013 to 2019, focusing on Computer Systems and Networks. Prior to that, they pursued a Science programme at Birger Sjöberggymnasiet from 2010 to 2013, with a particular interest in Mathematics and computer science.
