Jean-Philippe Desmontils has a long and varied work experience. Jean-Philippe began their career in 1998 as a Project Manager for Sopra Group, where they were responsible for projects for SFR, Cegetel and Maroc Telecom. In 2006, they became a Deputy Project Director for Micropole. In 2007, they founded Decidea Consulting, where they were the Consultant Manager and was responsible for global management and consulting missions. In 2010, they joined IENA | Performance Management et Business Consulting as a Consultant Manager (Partner), where they were in charge of the Information Management business unit. In 2014, they became a Senior Transition Manager for Linalis as a freelancer. In 2015, they took on the role of Senior Manager Finance for eFront. In 2019, they joined Axway as Senior Director Professional Services, and also co-founded Fundr. Finally, in 2020, they returned to MOBIP France as Chief Technology Officer, where they are responsible for roadmaps for digital payment products, mobile apps and internal information systems.

Jean-Philippe Desmontils obtained a Genie Informatique from Universite Claude Bernard Lyon 1 between 1993 and 1995. Jean-Philippe then went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer Science, Network and Operating systems from Pierre and Marie Curie University between 1995 and 1998. In 2009, they obtained a CMMI certification from SEI.
