Hubertus Tummescheit

Hubertus Tummescheit began their work experience as a student at TU Hamburg Harburg, where they studied from 1989 to 1996. Hubertus then continued their education as a PhD student at the Department of Control Engineering in Lund from 1998 to 2002.

In 2002, Tummescheit joined United Technologies Research Center as a Research Engineer, where they worked until 2004.

In 2005, Tummescheit founded Modelon and served as CEO, building it up from a small startup to an international leader in Model Based Systems Engineering using Modelica and FMI Technologies. Hubertus currently holds the position of Chief Solutions Officer and Managing Director for Modelon's US operations, a role that they started in July 2018.

Between July 2016 and July 2018, Tummescheit also served as Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director for Modelon's US operations. Overall, Tummescheit has a diverse range of experience in research, engineering, and leadership positions within the field of engineering and technology.

Hubertus Tummescheit earned their Msc in Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology in 1996. Hubertus later completed their PhD in Automatic Control from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in 2002.
