Ashiq Iqbal Jishad

Ashiq Iqbal Jishad is a co-founder of Global Voice for Refugees & Displaced, working since November 2023 to address the challenges faced by vulnerable communities. As Project and Program Coordinator for the Dhaka University Research Society (DURS) since June 2022, Ashiq leads initiatives to promote research and student engagement. In addition, Ashiq serves as Secretary of the International Affairs Wing at DURS, having progressed from a general member since 2019. Ashiq holds the position of Subject Matter Expert at Growth Central VC and has been writing and contributing to various platforms, including Modern Diplomacy, risingbd.com, The Daily Observer, and Diplomatic Talks since 2019. Recently, Ashiq participated as a Data Collector for an international research project at the Centre for Alternatives. Ashiq is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Dhaka and is currently in the second year of a BSS (Honors) in International Relations at Dhaka University.
