Lauren S.

Lauren S. has a long and varied work history. Lauren began their career in 2004 as a Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Department of State. In 2005, they completed a summer internship at CTV - Canadian Television. In 2006, they worked as an Executive Assistant at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General and as a Campaign Organizer - Michael Ignatieff, MP for the Liberal Party of Canada. In 2009, they worked as a Graduate School Program in Public Affairs at ExxonMobil. In 2010, they were a Director of Public Affairs at DCI Group. From 2014 to 2017, they were an Account Supervisor, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Edelman. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Director of Communications at Magnetar Capital. Since 2019, they have been a Strategic Communications Consultant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and, most recently, a Head of Communications & Marketing and Senior Director, Communications & Marketing at Modern Energy.

Lauren S. graduated from McGill University with a BA (Honours) in Political Science. Lauren then went on to earn an MA in International Relations and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
