Soumen Bhattacharya

Soumen Bhattacharya is the current Director of Product at Modern Health. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Product Management at Cleo from October 2019 to June 2021, and was Interim Head of Product during April to June 2021. Soumen has also worked as the Director of Product Management at Castlight Health from April 2017 to October 2019, where they were responsible for leading personalization, predictive analytics, and engagement platform features. Additionally, Soumen co-founded VaultMR in October 2014 and served as its Head of Product until February 2017. During their time there, they raised multi-million dollar seed funding to build a human-centered EHR platform for post-acute physical rehab centers. In all their positions, Soumen has demonstrated excellence in product management, with a hands-on approach to shipping user-centric features in collaboration with engineering, UX design, and research team members. Soumen has also been responsible for capital raising activities, driving financial performance, P&L and budget ownership, participating in recruiting activities, and helping formulate company policy & procedures with external legal, HR, and staffing companies.

Soumen Bhattacharya has an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and is certified from Prosci in ADKAR Change Mangement, LUMA Institute in Design Thinking - Human-centered design, and American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in AED | CPR. Soumen attended Somerville School for high school, where they studied English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Economics.
